Short? Stop. Not a baseball term

Out with my girls, it is Friday night of Halloween weekend and we just had a fantastic dinner at Analu. I mean WOW! It is reasonable, good food and atmosphere. ( I can’t wait to come back. ) Afterwards, we went out for drinks. The first place,  Skylark, was lame and really ghetto. We continued searching the Mission for a chill place to grab a drink.

We wandered into the Elbo Room which was kinda hopping, at first glance. There are people, it is even kinda crowded and with a good atmosphere. A group on the floor of people mingling and dancing. Cool. Or so we thought….

Besides the fact, that the majority of the group was NOT single, we walked into the short man bar. Every guy in this place was 5’5 or less! EEK! I am 5’6 and most of my girls are about my height. Sorry to hate …but you need a lot of charm or a girl who likes same height or shorter, a rarity.

Land of under 5'5

This poor gent in the picture above is 5’4 and unknowingly trying to pick up two girls who are happily taken. He is also standing, while we are sitting! It is so sad. Getting tired of the line of guys trying to strike up a conversation or make a connection, we started to pack up. As the group gets up to walk to our next stop; we are all taller than him and not by a little. I kept wishing for my girl Ms. V who at 6′  would have dwarfed the room.

Though on that note, I really do commend the guys for trying. It takes guts. Not something everyone can do and seriously hard to execute.  I wish there was an easy way to tell if people were taken or available. Really I mean one or two of the SIX of us were single… how could they have known who is who?

Yet that would not have helped the height problem… which is a common issue in SF.

Next we hit up Luna Park which was perfect! It was quiet and chill but lovely atmosphere. A nice booth for us to sit and talk. Plus no one trying to hit on us, everyone just enjoying their night. We did not end up going out dancing at Manor or 1015… but it was a great night with my girls.

Tip: Baking Soda – Overlooked Household “Super Cleaner”

After shopping with a friend, I got a call a few days later with her stressing about how to clean a shirt. Let’s face it, while you have to wear deodorant it often leaves marks and can ruin that great outfit of yours. It is often a pain to get out! Thus, due to a  request: this cleaning blog was born.

Magic mysteries

Baking Soda holds magical mysteries

How? Because, I responded “Baking Soda” I think. I mean, Mom always told me that it worked with more than just the fridge. She  said to remember to use it for my teeth to keep white and perspiration stains of a growing girl. She also would put in into the laundry to help remove stains or to hide smells.

Just like dentist

Shine up your smile

Yes this means you can add it to your cat boxes to shoes and more. It is light enough to be mixed in with clothes loose, help remove stains and heck make it a paste to clean pots and pans. It does way more than just help you bake or make volcanoes explode.

Halloween Weekend Events!

Let your imagination fly and dress up!

Halloween is my favorite time of year. It is a holiday just for fun. One that reminds everyone to be a kid again and not take life so seriously. You can be anyone if only for a night and to let your inhibitions down. A time people play pretend and actually find fun again.

Thus the  month of October, I lay low to do up the weekend of Halloween right. People always ask me where I get my info. Well, my best source is:www.sfstation.com ; They really have a comprehensive list. It’s a great site!

My short list:

Friday Oct. 28th

This is one of my girl’s birthday so we will probably have a good group with us. This means we need to keep it cheap and will probably do the first two.

Saturday Oct. 29th

Working till 9 so far, I keep trying to get it of so I can go to my parents Anniversary dinner. Yes they got married on Halloween, very smart people in my book. I have a lot to  do this night so it is still all in the air.

Sunday Oct. 30th

Is an easier night than Saturday for me, funny huh? Nothing cemented yet.  Thinking Supperclub honestly.

Monday Oct 31st

I already bought my ticket, I am seeing one good show this weekend. It is Carl Cox! I like him more than the other  concerts for this weekend. Plus I have never seen him before. I am so excited! Now all you have to do is: decided…

How will you be spending Halloween Weekend?

Hello World. Or more SF Bay!

Natasha climbing trees

Natasha in Sutro Baths. Always exploring curiosities.

My name is Natasha and I’ve decided to start this blog: Jump In SF Bay.  After living in SF Bay for most of life I have learned the Bay pretty darn well. Plus I’m always exploring it, since hardly anything stays the same! More often than not people ask me questions for: what to do and where to eat. Follow my yelp, ngm.yelp.com to really keep up on the in depth reviews.

Young in my life and starting my career means I am always on a budget, but I need to splurge on occasion too. I have no intention of not living my life and jumping right in; hence my name Jump In SF Bay. I hope to inspire people to jump in and do some of the cool happenings within the Bay and keeping their money in line.  We all are working on this and I am going to reach back into my childhood and bring out what my parents ( an accountant and banker) taught me.

Golden Gate Bridge

The beatiful SF Bay.

Besides always have an ear to the ground on SF with in budget, I’ve an expertise in intimate apparel for women. This leads to me to have an interest in women’s fashion and tips on sales.  I have often heard from friends, “Why didn’t you tell me before!”… well I promise to try in here.

I also aim to be more healthy in my life meaning cooking and exercising more. This means cooking more again and finding healthy ways of eating out. Plus exercise must also be fun and easy to fit in other wise I won’t do it. Of late I have been getting in to dancing, snowboarding and yoga. I am going to try and fit in more besides chasing MUNI.

If there is anything you would like me to focus on… well just let me know!
